Position Summary

ARCA are working closely with an energy tech scale up who are seeking a motivated and experienced IT Support Manager to oversee their daily information technology operations, manage IT projects, and ensure our IT infrastructure runs efficiently and securely. This role will report directly to Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for maintaining and improving our company’s IT environment in a way that supports business growth, enhances productivity, and safeguards data.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cyber security policies, procedures and systems.

Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.

Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Support IT onboarding for new employees.

Manage operational software licences.

Provide back office administration support.

Technical Support

Provide technical support to internal teams for hardware and software problems.

Manage help desk tickets and escalate complex issues when necessary.

Maintain an inventory of IT assets and oversee software license compliance.

Infrastructure & Network Administration

Develop, implement, and maintain network policies and procedures.

Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) to identify opportunities for improvement.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure uptime and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

Project Management

Lead small to medium-scale IT projects, from planning to execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems and upgrade existing systems.

Communicate project progress, challenges, and risks to stakeholders.

Security & Compliance

Manage security-related initiatives, including antivirus, malware protection, and vulnerability assessments.

Implement best practices for data protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Stay updated on compliance requirements relevant to the industry and ensure adherence.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on IT support, system administration, or IT project management, ideally in a small-to-mid-sized business environment.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with Google Workspace / Windows environments, network protocols, and cloud services.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies and backup solutions.

Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and frameworks.

Soft Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Proven problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
