ARCA is seeking a Senior Space AIT Engineer to join a team developing a 3D bioprinter for use in microgravity on the ISS and future space stations.

The role involves managing assembly, integration, testing, supplier coordination, test procedure creation and contributing to mechanical and electrical design.

A strong systems understanding, technical expertise and teamwork skills are essential.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assemble, integrate, and test electromechanical hardware for microgravity experiments.
  • Oversee production and testing of 3D-printed components.
  • Contribute to system design and definition.
  • Assist in designing a 3D bioprinter for microgravity, including experiment dishes, fluid systems, and thermal controls.
  • Perform thermal and structural analysis for space experiments across all mission phases (transport, launch, orbit, return).

What you need to succeed:

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in Assembly, Integration, and Testing (AIT) for space systems.
  • Knowledge of space standards (e.g., ECSS, SSP).
  • Familiarity with AIT documentation for all project phases.

This role is a full-time permanent position based in South-West Luxembourg and paying €65,000 - €78,000 p/a
